Ms Nyaradzo is multi-award winner for Human Rights Activism and is the Founding Executive Director of Tag a Life International (TaLI) a Zimbabwean girls and young women’s rights Organisation. She is the Convener and Leader of Every Child In School – ECIS Campaign/Movement, a campaign for state funded basic education for the poor and is promoting sustainable development goal 4 on quality education. Her campaign changed the education laws in Zimbabwe which now commits to state funded basic education, a result of this campaign. With her non profit, she has also promoted girls participation in leadership in all facets of their life as she curated the initiative Leadership Economic Mentorship Hubs – LEMHs programme, a leadership Programmes being run by her NGO TaLI.

She is a Current Girls Get Equal Campaign Champion, Philanthropist and Founder of Identities Media Initiative, owner and Executive Producer and Host of IDentities Umhlobo TV Show, Creator of Identities Media TV-Online, Advocacy Expert, former Board Member of CIVICUS Alliance, Founding Member of Women’s Human Rights, Democracy, and Security by the International Forum for Democracy Renewal hosted by Forum 2000. She is also a Member of the Programme Council of the Forum 2000 Foundation. She is also a former Board Member of the Community Solutions Programme, a Global Exchange of IREX funded by the US State Department, a Reagan Fascell Fellowship alumni. She is a Global Speaker. A United States State Department Elite Alumni after completing the Global Leadership Community Solutions Fellowship with Irex in the United States under Women Issues theme, Vital Voices Alumni, former National Coordinator for Girls Not Brides International, Former Board Member of Zimbabwe’s biggest Women’s Rights Coalition ‘Women’s Coalition of Zimbabwe’, Opinion leader, Human Rights Activist, Known to speak out against Gender Inequalities through radios, television, media and social networks and promoting girls and young women leadership. Her Excellency Christina Buchan

Ambassador of Canada to Zimbabwe and Angola, High Commissioner designate to Botswana.

Christina Buchan (BA Hons [Political Studies and French], St. Lawrence University, 1998; MA [Political Science], Queen’s University, 1999) joined the Canadian International Development Agency in 2003. During her time at Headquarters, she served as director of the Sudan Program (2009 to 2011), the Colombia and Bolivia programs (2011 to 2012), global health (2013 to 2014) and humanitarian organizations and food assistance (2014 to 2016). Positions overseas include Afghanistan (2005 to 2006), where she served as first secretary (development) in Kabul and then development adviser to the military’s Regional Command South in Kandahar. In addition, she was a consultant for UNICEF and the World Food Programme in Jordan (2016 to 2019). Christina is married to Gavin Buchan. They have a daughter Fiona

Elizabeth Nyamayaro

Humanitarian & United Nations Special Advisor

Elizabeth Nyamayaro is an award-winning humanitarian and Special Advisor for United Nations World Food Programme. Born in Zimbabwe, Elizabeth has worked at the forefront of global development for over two decades improving the lives of underserved populations and has been instrumental in fighting global inequalities, advancing social justice, and challenging the status quo to accelerate women’s rights around the world – through her leadership roles at the World Bank, World Health Organization, UNAIDS, and UN Women. Elizabeth is a Political Scientist by training and holds a MSc in Politics from the London School of Economics and Political Science and leadership education from the Harvard Business School. She wrote a memoir about her life and experiences, I Am A Girl From Africa.
